Day 1 - Take a guided tour to Jökulsárlón the most famous glacier lagoon in Iceland. Located at the end of an outlet glacier of the great Vatnajökull glacier, it features huge floating icebergs and is a perfect place to enjoy the beautiful landscape of Iceland and view the Northern Lights.

The South Coast of Iceland has some of the most popular tourist attractions - the beautiful waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, world famous volcanoes and glaciers, black sand beaches near the village of Vík, picturesque basalt column formations and peaks at Reynisdrangar, black lava fields, the Landbrotshólar Hills which are one of the largest pseudo-crater areas in the world, a visit to the beautiful Skaftafell nature reserve.

Overnight in South East Iceland.

Day 2 - Visit Jökulsárlón to admire the beautiful lagoon by day. If the lagoon is not frozen it is possible to enjoy a 40 minute boat ride where you sail the magical lagoon to get close to the beautiful icebergs. If not it is always possible to take a walk alongside the lake and on the black sand shores and look out for the seals which can often be spotted in the lagoon.

On the way back to Reykjavik we stop for an hour long glacier hike.

Time and weather permitting we can also visit Dyrhólaey, a small but majestic peninsula which is the southernmost point of the mainland. Formed by a sub-aquatic eruption, it looks like a doorway in the ocean and is home to a large variety of seabirds.
